The NAMTA Journal Collection

Throughout its 50-year history the North American Montessori Teachers’ Association (NAMTA) has provided teachers, schools, and parents with support to further their understanding of Montessori principles. NAMTA has been instrumental in advancing the work of Montessori scholarship, administration, professional development, parent education, multi-media production, and the implementation of Montessori across the four planes of development.

Since 1975, NAMTA has continued its unwavering support of AMI trainers and has introduced new voices to the Montessori community. The NAMTA Journal has been one of the most respected publications in the worldwide Montessori community. The Journal is an authoritative source of administrative, classroom, and pedagogical knowledge for Montessori educators; a genesis of research for education scholars; and a source of understanding and inspiration for parents.

The NAMTA Board has contributed the entire collection of The NAMTA Journal to be housed in the AMI Montessori Archives, in order to have this valuable resource be publicly available, in perpetuity, according to best practice archival, discoverability and open access standards.
