On This Day, 21 July 1925

On this day in 1925, Mario M. Montessori received his Montessori diploma in London — a milestone that was physical “proof” of his lifelong dedication to the Montessori movement. The diploma adorns one of the walls of Maria Montessori’s study in Amsterdam.

As Maria Montessori’s closest collaborator, Mario played a pivotal role in developing and spreading her educational philosophy around the world. His legacy continues to shape Montessori education to this day.
